In the city of Campana, Buenos Aires province, a 23-year-old man's home was raided. Police discovered that he had used fake documents to pretend he was Jewish and gain access to religious temples in Buenos Aires.
According to police sources reported to the Argentine News Agency, the young man had been detained for identification in October for committing the offense, which led to an investigation by the 35th Prosecutor's Office, specialized in Complex Crimes.
The suspect is said to have forged documents on several occasions to participate in religious events with the aim of getting to know the organizers.
The investigation located the accused's address at Beruti 700, Campana, and prosecutor Celsa Ramirez requested a judicial order to carry out the raid, while the Guarantees Court No. 1 of that Judicial Department authorized the procedure.
Officers from the City Police's Anti-Terrorist Division seized computers, cell phones, notebooks, tablets, religious documents, including a Ketubah, a Torah, and various books and pamphlets linked to the Jewish community.
The Criminal, Contravention and Misdemeanors Court No. 28 is handling the case, while the individual involved has been notified of the situation.
